The world of prestigious hotels terraces speaks spanish

For quite a time I wanted to say a word about the now famous spanish company KETTAL  created in Barcelona in1964. They are now a very well-known company that is keeping on growing very surely into the hospitality and luxury business worldwide and keeps insisting on the Made in Spain label quality.

As vice-president of the company founded by his father Manuel,  Alex Alorda wants to let us know that all the marketing strategy of Kettal  is entirely by word of mouth. The hospitality industry is a smaller world than people think, and one project often leads to the next with hotel groups, along with Kettal’s regular customer’s as well.

Proof of this success : the Villegiature Awards have already given several prizes to hotels supplied by Kettal : InterContinetal Marseille (Best Terrace 2016),  Park Hyatt Vienna, Shangri-La Paris, Me Ibiza, Le Hameau des Baux, Raffles Istanbul, Sofitel Marseille Vieux-Port, MGallery Molitor…

Proud of producing in and around Barcelona, Kettal controls tightly its quality all all levels of production process and keeps bringing indoor design stars into the outdoor world, by directly  working with Milan based-Spaniard Patricia Urquiola and London native Jasper Morrison. As Manuel Alorda, the founder, explains : ‘I started out by producing simple aluminium chairs for the Spanish market. Now we export 90% of what we make.

The words of Alex Alorda, Vice-President of Kettal:
“It was an honor to be a part of the Fondation Louis Vuitton project in Paris: the architecture, the outdoor spaces—everything is stunning. A new project for JW Marriot Los Cabos is another very rational, timeless project, and the Oasia Hotel in Singapore that we recently did with Patricia [Urquiola] is cutting-edge and colorful.”
